Job Description
The Senior Director of Merchandising will be responsible for long-term product strategy and successful execution of the tack, equipment, and supplies business.

Essential Job Functions:
•Set challenging and productive goals for the team and create accountability for results
•Strategize long and short term sales/margin growth
•Manage a private label development team including design and sourcing
•Strategically interprets and aligns consumer insight to all aspects of business
•Lead team to strategize assortments to deliver sales/margin forecasts
•Set private label and overall sales goals and present to senior management
•Participate in financial review meetings; identify corrective action necessary to maximize sales and margins
•Initiate product development to capitalize on trends/consumer opportunities
•Ensures team is driving pricing and margin execution and timely receipts with vendors.
•Responsible for assortment and category planning

•Bachelor’s Degree
•7+ years buying/merchandising experience (ecommerce, catalog or store)
•3-5 years of direct management experience
•Equine industry or horse riding experience preferred
