Job Description
The Equestrian Program Manager oversees the Equestrian Department and provides support to the staff with an emphasis on executing the mission and vision of the National Ability Center. The Equestrian Program Manager is responsible for developing our equestrian program as an industry leader and for implementing diverse programming to meet the need of adaptive equestrian community. You must have the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and experiences. A primary role of this and every other job at the National Ability Center is to ensure that each member, guest, and visitor of the National Ability Center receives the highest caliber service. This position requires occasional weekend and after-hours work, as needed. It is a full-time, year-round position with benefits.
Job Requirements
• Supervises, trains, and evaluates direct reports including supporting on the development of annual goals, prioritizing needs, providing resources, and meeting regularly; provides guidance, coaching and mentorship to direct reports.
• Manages overall financial budgeting for department – budget development and implementation and forecasting.
• Supports HR functions for the department including guiding talent needs and identification, approving hiring and termination requests, corrective coaching, performance management and team development.
• Works with volunteer management team to improve utilization of volunteers and encourage and promote growth and leadership opportunities within programs.
