About The Facility
Our resort in north central Florida – surrounded on 3 sides by the 53,000 acre Goethe State Forest and 30 minute drive to both Ocala and Gainesville -- is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the role of Trail Riding Operation Manager. This key position involves overseeing all aspects of our trail riding program, providing exceptional guest experiences, and managing a team of staff to ensure the highest standards of service and safety.
Job Description
- Manage and care for a herd of horses, including feeding, grooming, and medical care
- Plan and lead guided trail rides catered to guests of varying riding abilities
- Schedule, coordinate, and ensure the smooth operation of trail rides
- Prioritize guest safety and maintain the well-being of horses during all riding activities
- Provide guidance and assistance to guests to enhance their riding experience
- Maintain trails, equipment, and facilities related to the trail riding program
- Uphold superior standards of horsemanship, safety protocols, and customer service
- Assist in marketing and promoting the trail riding program to attract new guests
- Supervise and lead staff involved in the trail riding operation
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with horses, including herd management and trail riding
- Proficient horsemanship skills and the ability to effectively engage with guests
- Certifications in horsemanship, trail riding, or related areas are highly valued
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent organizational abilities
- Capacity to work independently and make timely decisions in a dynamic environment
- Customer-centric mindset with a strong commitment to creating memorable guest experiences
- Knowledge of trail riding safety guidelines and procedures
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
