We are a team of board-certified equine surgeons and one board-certified equine internist. As a locally owned, small business, we take pride in knowing the specific needs of horses and owners in and around Roaring Fork Valley. Our ability to provide very personalized, hands-on care, cultivating specific treatment plans for each horse, with the horse and the owner’s best interests in mind, is what sets us apart.
• intake for referral cases
• daily nursing and medical treatments for inpatients
• assisting doctors with outpatient and emergency cases
• performing diagnostic lab work
• and maintaining hospital functions
• management of inventory for ambulatory appointments
• assisting with examination and treatment of patients (including set-up, operation, and maintenance of diagnostic equipment)
Applicants must possess a background in equine related experience. Degree in veterinary technology and VNTE certification are considered favorable, but not required. Experience in equine anesthesia is also very desirable.
Hours: 32-40/wk
Emergency on-call shifts, overnight nursing, and weekends are required on an as needed basis and are shared equally among the team.
