About The Facility
This Upper-Level Eventing program Splits their time between two major eventing hubs, Boyds MD, and Ocala FL! They have beautiful facilities in both locations equipped with nice arenas, beautiful barns, and lots of hacking! They stay in Ocala January- April and in Boyds the rest of the year. This is a smaller scale program with 6 horses 4 of which are actively competing. This is an incredible opportunity for someone wanting to experience the top of the sport while being in a family like program!
Job Description
This is the perfect position for someone wanting to be part of a top-class team without the stress of a busy program. The job entails high standards for horse care, with typical duties including tacking, grooming, and general horse care. The main focus of this position will be horse care with minimal barn chores. They have a full-time guy in MD who does all barn chores, however in FL chores will be required! This candidate would travel to shows, lessons and clinics with the owner. The workload is very balanced, and this candidate should be able to experience the thrills of top FEI events and be able to watch lessons with top coaches! This candidate will be working closely with the owner and should be eager and willing to learn and grow with said team. The right person will have experience handling horses, be trustworthy, and at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license. While there isn't a ton of riding, the groom would be able to hack and ride occasionally based on experience. They would be happy to teach a less experienced individual as long as they possess a positive attitude and a desire to work and learn alongside the team. This position boosts all the opportunities and luxuries one could want while also being very team oriented and providing the ability to live a well-balanced life.
Job Requirements
-Experience handling a variety of horses
- 3+ years of working with and handling horses
-reliable and trustworthy individual
-have a valid driver’s license and transportation
-detail oriented and take initiative
-positive attitude and a desire to work and learn

- 6 days a week, days starting around 7-7:30 and generally finishing around 12-2:30 on lighter days, lessons, shows, and appointments will vary. (you would go back to feed when in Ocala)
Description of Housing Provided
Private housing is provided in both locations. In Florida the housing is onsite, and in MD it is 10 minutes down the road! They are open to dogs as long as they are well-behaved and friendly.
