About The Facility
This up-and-coming, multi discipline facility just across the boarder from Memphis, Tennessee is looking for a new Eventing trainer to lead their program into the spotlight. This facility is already well into development, boasting a 50 acre, show-quality lower level eventing course, 3 separate arenas, a 12 stall barn with individual turnouts, and big plans for improvement! Already in the works are plans for a larger show barn, a covered arena, continued XC obstacles, and more in the hopes that this facility will be able to host shows in the future! The management team here is exceptionally kind and caring, and supportive in the proposal of facility changes to make life better for boarders and trainers alike! This is a team who believes in supporting their employees and providing opportunities to grow in the ways which best suit each prospective addition.

What really sets this facility apart, though, is the charitable nature of its founders. This entire operation is run in conjuncture with the facility's charitable mental health foundation. This is a very well funded and well established foundation, designed to work in concert with their equestrian program. Individuals applying for this job must be experienced equestrians first and foremost, but also share the kind and caring spirit embodied by the rest of the team at this facility. Funding for facility improvements, show outings, clinicians and opportunity is boundless here.

This is a well staffed, well organized equestrian facility. Applicants will not be expected to partake in the daily care chores of the horses (other than medical oversight) and will not be responsible for sourcing/managing staff. This is all the fun of having your own program on your own farm, without ANY of the maintenance headaches that come from farm ownership!!
Job Description
Seeking a passionate and experienced professional in the sport of Eventing to develop a discipline-specific lesson program at this up-and-coming facility! The ideal candidate for this role should have competed through at least the Training/Prelim level, and still be actively riding and teaching in the discipline. This person should have some experience giving lessons and a willingness to teach individuals of all ages and experience levels. Currently, the majority of clientele is at the BN level and below, but there is ample interest and excitement around growing the Eventing program throughout the larger local community. It will be very easy for someone with a background at the upper levels to draw ship-in clients from all of the surrounding states. This position will require traveling to shows - both local and in KY, FL, SC, GA, etc with students. Someone who has their own horse(s) competing will be looked on favorably, as long as they are able to balance their showing with supporting their students effectively.

Someone with a desire to help develop horses as mid-upper level lesson prospects, and as sale prospects, may be afforded extra opportunities very quickly, as leadership is passionate about upping the level of equine talent in the area. As this is a multi-discipline facility, trainers should feel comfortable sharing space with other trainers and students - though there are enough arenas to keep teaching spaces separate.
Eventually, the facility would like to host shows and is seeking a team who would be willing to "wear all the hats" and help out with those endeavors, at least in part!
