About The Facility
This incredible, state of the art facility set in one of Colorado's most pristine ski resorts boasts a 7 stall barn, incredible views, and on-site living accommodations for those lucky enough to call it home. With a fully enclosed and heated barn, arena, and walker, this facility is well set up to handle the winters in style. This lovely group does not travel or show extensively, and has multiple team members who have been part of the program for over 10 years. With 4 horses currently residing here, the work load is balanced and the highest level of care for each horse is well within reach.
Job Description
The person stepping into this once-in-a-lifetime role should be confident yet humble about their abilities to provide 5* care to a handful of exceptional horses. This person will generally be responsible for all of the daily chores involved with high level Dressage horses, along with a small team of staff. This person should be comfortable handling athletic horses on layup who can get a bit fresh. This person needs to be capable of bandaging, body clipping, trailering in event of a fire evacuation, and recognizing all signs of equine distress. This person, while directly reporting to the Barn Manager most days, will need be fully capable of a sole-charge atmosphere when the manager is off or traveling. This will include stocking the stables, administering medications, handling medical emergencies, maintaining the arenas, and confidently handling the horses, even in tense situations or when fresh.
Riding opportunities may be afforded if desired and highly competent.
Job Requirements

- Grooming - Bathing, clipping, pulling mane, sheath cleaning, picking feet, etc
- Bandaging - standing, minor medical, or polo
- Body clipping
- Tacking up and Untacking (dressage)
- Hand walking (when necessary)
- Blanketing
- Turnout
- Taking horses on and off the walker
- Lunging/Round penning
- Laundry
*Ability to pull a shoe

**When Manager Away**
- Inventory - Hay/grain/shavings/supplements/supplies
- Medical emergencies - wound care, colic 24hr care, contacting vet when needed
- Administering medication (IM, Oral, and Ideally IV as well)
- Dragging Arenas
- Driving truck and trailer
- Holding for vet and farrier when needed
