About The Facility
We are a small but High-end jumper farm with show horses. Our current barn manager has been with us for the past six years but now is moving on to another venture in life. We are looking for someone that wants be part of a small family show barn and in a long term position.
Job Description
We are looking for an independent person and someone who is willing to learn the ways of our farm. This position would be responsible for about 15 horses at home. A mix of show horses, brood mares, babies and retired horses..
Duties included but not limited to: Feeding, Cleaning stalls, General Barn Chores, Barn cleaning, Turn Out, Blanketing, Grooming, Lunging, Holding for vet/farrier, Administration meds, Wrapping legs, Ring preparation (Driving a small tractor), Jump Course Setting, tack cleaning, help packing for shows, and assisting in tacking and untacking. The main barn which is heated with 12 stalls and the rest of the horses mostly live outside. The farm is run by one person for the horses (this position) , one part time helper, one maintenance staff for the grounds. The farm is mostly very quiet during the day as most of the riding is done in the evenings.
Job Requirements
Being organized and a detailed person is key to success in this position. After the training period is over we are looking for someone that knows the routine, knows what needs to be done, and takes it upon themselves to ensure the barn and horses are in top shape. Having experience with show horses is a must. Being able to drive a truck and trailer and body clipping is a plus but not required.
What we are offering: Living accommodations on the farm, Dry Stall, Riding Opportunities, Showing Opportunities, Training/lessons. Riding is not required.

One weekend day off per week and one weekend off per month. Two weeks paid vacation.
