About The Facility
For 71 years, Camp Rim Rock has provided a place where girls from around the world spend a summer filled with fun, friendship and new opportunities in a caring environment. During a 2 week session, the girls will participate in Horseback Riding, Performing Arts, Arts & Crafts, Sports and Aquatics. We are accredited by the ACA and located less than 2 hours from D.C. on 500 beautiful acres. Our sessions run from the middle of June through the middle of August.
Job Description
Camp RIm Rock for Girls, located outside of Washington, DC, seeks a full-time Equestrian Director. The Director is responsible for oversight of the stables, year-round herd of 70 horses, pastures, and summer camp riding program. The Equestrian Director works with the full-time staff and supervises the summer camp staff and must maintain ACA accreditation standards. The job can either be a summer position for 4 months on site or year round on site. Should be 25+ years old with a Bachelors Degree or equivalent, 3 years experience supervising an equestrian program and experience with care of a large horse herd. Candidates must have strong teaching, communication & interpersonal skills. Must love working with children! Previous experience with Summer Camps strongly preferred. Job Requirements
Qualifications: At least 25 years of age. Possess skills and confidence in the leading and organization of English horsemanship. Experience in the care, training and management of a herd of horses.
