Concentrating on Arabian and Half-Arabians, Becker Stables specializes in all major divisions with an emphasis on the western and hunter pleasure. With all the amenities it takes to raise and train top notch show horses, Becker Stables also maintains a healthy environment and provides the ultimate in care and training, tailored to each individual horse's needs.
Successful training methods based on being methodical and consistent have established the Becker Stables team as a leader in the show ring, and has transformed the farm into a home of numerous National Champion horses. Owners Brett and Marjie Becker have accumulated countless National championships through their hard work and honest approach.
Becker Stables is one of the top breeders of Arabian and Half-Arabian show horses as well. The Becker Stables' stallions top many of the leading sire charts, and are available to breed on-site or via cooled or frozen semen. The broodmare band is the best of the best and includes numerous National Champion show mares, both retired and currently showing that are bred via embryo transfer. An incredible percentage of foals from Becker Stables grow up to be champion show horses.
The farm at Becker Stables consists of 200 acres with 100 stalls. Over 150 horses live in this equine paradise, with 15-20 new foals each year. Becker Stables maintains an exceptional staff of trainers and training assistants, grooms, breeding and maintenance professionals.
Groom, tack, lunge, walk horses, bathe, wrap legs, blanket/unblanket. Assist trainers with lunging, bitting and bridling. Feed grain & supplements, administer medications, keep tack and groom areas clean, maintain arena, do barn laundry (blankets, towel & leg wraps), hold horses for vet & farrier, assist with breeding & foaling, pack/unpack for horse shows, travel to horse shows. This position is an excellent opportunity for aspiring horse trainers that lack the minimum skill or experience level for the trainer/assistant trainer position. Employees in this position serve as our trainers’ “right-hand men,” assisting with any trainers’ needs. Employees are given riding and training-related tasks in accordance with the individual’s abilities. Not everyone will be able to ride, but anyone can learn and improve their own skills. Employees that excel in this position will be given increased responsibility and a higher level of horse-training tasks. This position is an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to improve their skills and knowledge of horse care, horse handling, horse training and farm management.
