About The Facility
Small, competitive eventing barn. Very upscale facility with new 6 stall barn, lots of turnout with sheds, and world class 225 x 140 Wordly Martin GGT ring. Rider has produced horses through Advanced level, and spent 4 years training and competing in England. She has a very strong european and dressage background. She has produced several riders through the Prelim/2* level and 3rd level dressage.
Job Description
-Everyday horse care to a high standard
-Feeding
-mucking out and re-bedding
-catching in/turning out
-blanketing per guidelines
-sweeping, raking, blowing isle and general clean up of barn and farm areas
-daily grooming
-tacking up/untacking per guidelines
-cooling horses out
-using therapy tools i.e. Activomed rug, icing with ice wraps and whirl boots, poulticing, wrapping, packing feet
-bathing horses
-clipping horses
-competition preparations ie body clipping /mane pulling/ tail pulling and maintenance/bathing
-tack cleaning daily and putting away in designated areas
-washing horse laundry and putting away in designated areas
-ordering feed
-ordering shavings and supplies
-scheduling appointments with vets, farrier, physios, saddle fitters, equine dentist as instructed
-keeping the horse's passports up to date
-poo picking small fields/dragging large fields
-equine first aid
-holding horses for the vet/farrier/physio/chiropracter
-jogging horses for owner and/or support staff
-videoing rider at training sessions and competitions
-setting fences, courses and assisting while rider is jumping
-packing for competitions
-driving the truck and trailer
-washing and cleaning out trailer after each use
-dragging ring when necessary (ie when Christina is away)
-riding such as hacking, fitness work and flatting per instructions
-lunging
-overseeing working students

This is a great job for someone who wants to be a part of a small, winning team and really be able to focus on the details without a large number of horses and also have time for their own horse and competition goals.
Job Requirements
Needs to be a self starter and able to work independently to a high standard. Must be honest, reliable and have a deep love for the horses. Must be able to take directions and also have the ability to problem solve. Must be at least 21 years old, and able to drive a truck and trailer and a minimum of 1 year grooming experience.
