Beautiful HJ / Equitation Show Barn
Job Description
The manager will oversee the staff to ensure proper care of 10 hunter/jumper/equitation show horses onsite and the upkeep of the property. The ideal candidate would be willing to travel to shows with the rider and maintain the program established by the trainer. A- circuit show barn experience, self-motivated, excellent client relation skills, and top-notch horse care are required.
Duties will include:
• Manage and supervise employees and schedules
• Maintain horse records, including but not limited to vet records, horse associations
• Coordinate horse transportation to shows
• Coordinate rider travel logistics (hotels, flights, etc.…)
• General horse care, including Leg wraps and equine first aid
• Assist and schedule veterinary, farrier, and other treatments.
• Order feed, hay, shavings, tack, and other supplies
• Mix feed and supplements
• Coordinate horse care/exercise with the established trainer
• Riding on the flat
• Traveling to shows
• Manage rider’s equipment (dry cleaning, tack and boot repair etc…)
• Assist at horse shows with office work, paying bills etc…
• Dragging arena
• Assist the grooming staff as needed
