Job Description
Large hunter training/ sales / show and breeding farm in the southeast looking for a capable assistant trainer, rider who can also fill in as assistant manager as needed (on the manager's day off/ vacation). Must be willing to assist with lunging, course setting, basic chores as needed. But, this is primarily a riding and teaching job. Must be comfortable riding young sales horses for clients without getting jumped loose and have a good understanding of flatwork, some natural finesse and softness. Experience jumping to 3'6" required. Other duties include: riding client horses in training, teaching lessons, taking clients to local horse shows, A's if you're capable. Again, for the right person with a positive attitude and willingness to learn, this can be a grow to fit position if needed. An easy going personality is essential. We also start young warmbloods for clients all over the country. Experience starting young ones or at the very least, willingness to learn how is a huge plus. Must be professional in appearance, height-weight appropriate, physically fit with clean driving record, some experience driving a truck and trailer. Looking for the right mature, stable, respectful, responsible, team player to grow into a longterm position with us (ideally). We are a fun, drama-free group, and our people are truly valued. I would also be happy to discuss this position with someone who is overqualified. However, I would still need you to be accepting of the way we do things. We're traditional hunter people. If you can ride a rhythm, like your horses long and low, don't fuss with them too much and are not above going out in the woods on the trails with the young ones, please throw your hat in the ring.
