About The Facility
Palomar Christian Conference Center is a faith based camp and retreat center. It is located on beautiful Palomar Mountain near San Diego, CA. Girls horse camp is offered for 8 weeks each summer. The horse facilities include a 13 stall barn, two large pastures, two small turnouts, arena, round pen, and trails.
Job Description
Come be a part of a summer full of impact at Girls Horse Camp! A step up from a wrangler position, the Head Wrangler coordinates with the Horsemanship Director to oversee the horse activities of camp. This includes aspects of herd management, teaching intermediate and advanced lessons, supporting other staff, overseeing and instructing wranglers in training, etc. all in an energetic and supportive atmosphere.

Employment date is May 30 - August 7 which includes two weeks of training and eight weeks of camp.

*** This position does have the potential to become full time at the end of summer to the right candidate.
Job Requirements
-Energetic, enthusiastic personality with the ability to work well independently and within a team.

-Demonstrates a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, exercising personal faith through consistent daily living in accordance with God’s Word.

- Must have extensive horse experience and understand horse behavior.

- Must have experience instructing beginner and intermediate group lessons. CHA or other riding instructor certification a plus.

-Experience and/or education in herd management practices such as nutrition, herd behavior, equine first aid, saddle fitting, training, etc.

-Have a heart of a servant leader
Salary - $410/wk
