Job Description
Salaried, full-time, live-in lead groom – generally works 5 days per week. We are seeking an individual who is a responsible, ethical, reliable, and must have a high level of maturity and knowledge, commensurate with multiple years of equestrian experience in order to provide the utmost care and attention to the horses. Having good riding skills is beneficial.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Feeding, watering, mucking, turnout (in hilly terrain), grooming, blanketing/un-blanketing, barn laundry, tacking/untacking, bathing, hand walking, hand grazing, bandaging, maintain clean barn, and share night-check duties. Exercise riding for the purpose of the horses’ fitness and happiness during all seasons and weather, is required. Horses are ridden in English tack on the flat. Video and reference of riding ability will be confirmed.
Job Requirements
Essential skills required are: a cheerful attitude with a genuine passion for working with horses and people; good work ethic; honest; effective and respectful communication skills; knowledge of quality horse care, basic equine first aid/medical treatment, horsemanship and equine behavior; excellent equine handling skills; willingness to learn; flexible; self-motivated who can also follow directions well; working well with others is a must.

Must be able to lift 50+ pounds on a daily basis without issue. Proficiency in driving a horse trailer is very beneficial.

Will be required to pass background check and drug test.
