Curragh Equestrian Center
We are a busy, well-respected, BHS approved riding school and competition yard with an indoor, outdoor, and cross-country courses. Curragh is situated on 146 acres within 20 minutes of downtown Fort Worth and 8 minutes of a local suburb. We have approximately 25 school horses and 25 boarded horses all working within our program.
This position involves:
- Working full time
- Teaching group lessons (3-6 similar riders) and some privates from a walk / trot level, to those competing through Novice eventing or adult amateurs riding for fun
- Riding dressage and eventing horses in training, so each horse may be the best for their own riders, regardless of breed or price tag
- Some Sunday coaching, at home schooling shows or possibly at away shows
- Maintaining an appreciative attitude & respectful communication with all staff, including barn help, student volunteers, barn managers, and other instructors
- Experience in dressage and eventing.
- A proper understanding of classical training, ie. how to train, ride, and teach
- An ability to work as part of a team for the good of the horses, riders, and business
Full board for one horse at a top class facility.
