Equine Athlete Veterinary Services is an exclusively-equine practice designed to cater to the needs of the equine athlete, at all stages of life. Providing full service care at your farm or event, Equine Athlete has doctors based in California, Michigan, and a hospital located in Pilot Point, Texas.

Our veterinarians travel nationwide throughout the year, offering our services for pre-purchase exams, consultations on complex lameness and medical issues of the equine athlete, preparing performance horses for competition, and managing their health care at horse shows. Equine Athlete insists on remaining at the cutting edge of equine sports medicine through continually advancing our education and utilizing the latest in digital diagnostic technology. We have extensive experience with regenerative therapies including stem cells, platelet rich plasma (PRP), and IRAP II; we often combine these techniques with the elective surgical services we also provide.
Equine Athlete Veterinary Services is seeking one qualified veterinary technician/assistant to join our team in Southern California. Experience working as a veterinary technician/assistant is preferred but not required. Equine Athlete is a growing veterinary practice committed to providing the highest standard of care to each of our patients whether at their farm, in our hospital, or at a horse show. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a team environment and shares the same dedication to patient and client care. Each of our technicians/assistants must have excellent horse handling skills and is responsible for holding, jogging, and lunging horses for exams, preparing patients for sterile procedures, and managing inventory. Special consideration will be given to licensed technicians or candidates with experience in sports medicine. This position will include regular working trips to Arizona and a variety of horse shows around the country throughout the year. Travel expenses are covered.
