About The Facility
Private sporting club with a state of the art equestrian facility with 22 stalls, two air conditioned tack rooms. lounge, 3 wash bays, all weather GGT Footing area, jump field, and 12 miles of trails. Our private boarding facility offers first class services to both our clients and their horses. Our facility caters to dressage, jumper, hunt seat and western disciplines.
Job Description
We have an immediate opening for an Assistant Manager who will be responsible for teaching lessons to children and adults, and assisting with trail rides and special events for members and guests. Also, administrative duties including use of Excel, Microsoft Office, and 4 years of experience supervising staff. We are a top-notch facility assuring that all the horses are handled and cared for in the first class manner. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for member and guest satisfaction, exceeding standards and enhancing member experience and life style at The Ford Plantation Club.
Job Requirements
A team player is needed to add to our wonderful staff. The successful candidate should possess a College Degree with an emphasis in Equine Science and 8 years of professional experience working with and or training horses, and possessing the ability to teach English and or Western discipline. A candidate that is a Certified Riding Instructor from an accredited association is strongly preferred. The Assistant Manager position will be required to help maintain the facility on a daily basis. The Assistant Manager position will require a flexible schedule – morning & evening shifts, weekends and holidays, on call availability, and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. A strong work ethic and great communication skills are required for this position as well as excellent customer service ability. Experience working in a luxury residential community or hospitality organization is a plus.
Benefits
