Freedom Woods is the closest stable to the city of Chicago. We run a large lesson program and a large base of show clientele. We have a large staff of trainers, riders, grooms, and a full time office staff. We have a large number of school horses and instructors who teach weekly lessons. We also have a group of trainers and riders who compete twice per month both locally and nationally. We encourage the growth of all members of our team. We enjoy working together and helping each other grow in both our training and riding.
We are looking for an instructor to join our team. The position is mainly teaching lessons at home. Most of the students are beginner and novice riders. This position may contain some paid riding depending on experience and ability.
We encourage growth for all members of our team. Overtime, the job may change and include more riding and the possibility of showing.
- Applicants must have previous experience teaching or training
- A solid foundation in hunt seat riding
- Work well with others
- Enjoy working with children and adults
All full time instructors/trainers receive free board on one horse (this does not include farrier or veterinary care). They are allowed and encouraged to take as many lessons from our head trainers.
