Our farm sits on 32 acres with a 16 stall barn. Our barn is filled with fantastic lesson horses as well as boarded horses. Our business is a young family owned business and we personally live on the property with our three young kids. We have been in business just over a year and always open to new things that bring growth to the business. Windfall Farms is located in Northwestern Pa in a small community that has miles of pretty hills and a nice county feel. We also hold monthly 4-H meeting with a club of over 50 plus kids in it these kids also take lessons at our facility.
This job is Mon-Fri no weekends unless we have an event on the farm or a local horse show to attend. Over 50% of your day would be devoted to giving lessons. Qualities we are looking for- cheerful, enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable. Great lesson horses, beautiful facility, and everything you will need is provided. All scheduling, client relations, etc provided for you. Our barn also offers a 4-H club with a growing number of eager kids that meet once a month.
Must work well with kids, the families and adults that ride here have become very connected with the current trainer and look up to her beyond just a riding instructor. These families are eager for this position to be filled and their knowledge with horses to continue to grow. Must be able to lift hay for feeding as well as carry two water buckets at a time.
A stall for your horse is also part of the compensation package. Pay will be based on your past experience, what your able to add to what we currently offer. If your bringing current customers with you that would also be reflected in the pay. On property house can be provided if that is important to you. Payed holidays as well as vacation is included.
We would find local housing or on property housing depending on what the person would prefer that is taking the position.
