Timber-lee is a year round youth camp and retreat facility that encompasses a 40 plus herd of horses that are used to facilitate student, camper and guest experiences in western pleasure and instruction.
Camp Timber-lee, a youth ministry that exists to share the love of Christ is seeking interns that desire to share their passion for God, adventure and the equine world as horse guides and instructors. Successful candidates will spend 28-30 hours per week gaining practical hands-on experience leading outdoor education students in trail ride and instructional times, horse and animal care, and management of ranch facilities. In addition, interns gain experience in youth retreat program development and execution. A host of experiences are provided through living within Christian community. Salary, room and board included.
A. Is a professing Christian committed to following, in both
spirit and practice, the principles listed in Timber-lee’s statement of faith
B.Associate degree or higher
C.Experienced western pleasure rider
D.Prior experience in horse care preferred
E.Is able to traverse the multi-terrain campground during all seasons of the year.
F.able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
